The sister string is about creating connections and bonds between individuals across South Africa, and then across the world. It was founded in 2019, influenced by the uniting of individuals across the world for the safety and security of the women and children in South Africa. People stood together against violence and it was time to come up with an idea that would keep the movement going.
Behind the sister string is a group of sisters and brothers, ready to watch out for each other. Creating a sense of community, and togetherness. No matter what age, what background, this is a way that we can let each other know that we have each others backs, without saying a word at all.
